A Nepenthean Solution (#1) The conflict for universal hegemony began long ago, before the Earth was formed, long before Sol coalesced to ignite fusion in her heart. Before the Milky Way existed, and before matter and energy erupted into this new domain we call the universe, conflict raged on a scale never witnessed by humankind. An unending mordant contest eventually eliminated every preeminent civilization and effectively rendered all known ancient domains incapable of
ever sustaining life again.
That time has passed, but the root of contention still exists in the vast and shadowed depths of our universe. Humankind has lived in ignorance and cloaked in anonymity on a small water world circling an unremarkable yellow dwarf star lying within a lesser spur of the minor Cygnus arm of the Milky Way. Invisible and undetected, the teeming billions gained mastery over their little world, unaware that they had sent a message out into the void that said: Here I am, and I am a menace. An electromagnetic message traveling at the speed of light and driven by the force of five hundred and sixty-five million tons of TNT. The result of twenty-four hundred nuclear tests in sixty years--a consistent and threatening drumbeat of war.

Flight of the Solar Archangel (#2) The struggle began in the 21st century - humanity against an elusive, unknown and faceless agent of destruction. The first years went badly for Earth and only intervention by a third party staved off an early demise. But now those off-world allies have been absent for five hundred years and mankind has been pushed to the brink of extinction.
The last colony on Earth and the mountain fortress that defends it face reduction by an implacable mechanized horde. Two men and a woman race to cross a desolate and barren wasteland. They must reach a subterranean refuge, there to launch an orbital craft. Solar Archangel is the last best hope, for in high earth orbit lies a derelict Chao-Vithri warship,
the only weapon that can defeat the Oo'ahan - an antagonist whose form and purpose remains a mystery.
The Flight of the Solar Archangel continues the story of mankind's call to arms and of the
end of the Grim War five hundred years later. The third novel, from which the series derives its name ( The Prides of Sol) , takes man into space, there to end a thousand years of deadly strife - the end of the beginning.
In Prides of Sol, we learn of the Danua who had seeded Earth, and of the long-dormant city of Mu'rias on Danu in the Tir Na n'Og system. The circle is now complete, for humankind has reseeded Danu.

Prides of Sol (#3) In this chronicle, mankind has endured a thousand years of adversity. After the initial conflict in the twenty-first century, civilization began a long, slow collapse. By the twenty-fifth, Earth had been reduced to a barren, desolate wasteland - a small remnant of society remaining, and it under constant assault by the invader. Solar Archangel - an eleventh hour attempt to find salvation succeeds and the enemy phalanx withers under nuclear fire. In the five following peaceful centuries mankind has recovered, and rebuilt. The human spirit burns bright and the Earth flourishes.
But, it's not over. Again, the Oo'ahan Hegemony approaches. No longer in stealth, no longer with covert agents and subterfuge. This time it's a two-pronged assault. An enemy within and a massive armada of invincible ships, now assembling deep in space - destination: Sol.
Maybe there's hope yet, for Sam Weber is back. A man of few words - a thousand-year-old warrior who has seen and done it all - now underground in search of an age-old enemy lair. The Hunter Brigade is gone, but in its place, Weber leads the RECON units of the Solar Marines.
Adam Devery is back, and he has changed. Tempered in the forge of battle during the Grim War, tutored by the best of the best, he now commands three corps of Solar Marines.
Stan Wozniak is back as head of state in the island nation of Avalon, situated on the Cape Verde Islands. Like the myth of old, Avalon provides the spark of light to kindle the dawn of New Earth. It leads humanity back from the brink and upward to the stars. It provides the starships, the FTL drive, and the men and women to take the battle to the enemy.
Ed Baylor is back. Recovered from radiation sickness and the mental malaise that crippled him five hundred years before, he is a high-ranking officer in the Avalon Navy, charged with running the Naval Flight Academy.
Wes Safford returns as the Grand Admiral leading two fleets into space - to meet the ancient enemy in defense of Earth, to destroy him and end the endless war.
Adela Simmons is back. Out of the Army and into the Navy. A flight officer of exceptional skill - what else would one expect? Small of stature and gutsy as hell. An ace with an attitude. This is her story, a twisting path through a personal perdition. One that brings her face to face with the most powerful of the enemy - takes her far from Earth, and back to the ancient roots of humanity. To a new world, with a new future. There's no looking back.

The Children of Danu - Imperator (#4) What comes before the beginning? In the third novel, the Prides of Sol, the back-story centers around a star system named Tir Na n'Og, and the single planet in the system known as Danu. Millions of years before the conflict on Earth, the Danua had also faced the same opponent. They were defeated and are long gone.
Lillaeth's Lament on the obelisk by the sea tells of their fate in the form of an elegy. But, who was Lillaeth? Where did she come from? What's her story? And what about the Guardian that lives in the sea? What is it and how did it get there?
What if the Danua had left a legacy? What if they, themselves, were a legacy from a time primordial, from before the current domain, our universe, even existed. From extra dimensions, and other domains, the thread of this story finally ends at a recognizable moment--one that hints at a probable future.

Scimitar 1: Retribution (#5) At the dawn of the third millennium, an allied Solarian Navy secured the survival of Earth in a close contest with the Oo’ahan at the home-world’s Apogee Station battle-zone. With that success, human forces moved onward and outward into the stars. One crippled ship remained behind. Twelve months later, Avalonian light cruiser Darius still conducts aimless picket duty at the fringes of Earth-space. Her commander, Senior Captain Jennifer Giles, slowly sinks into despair while the injured vessel continues its endless vigil.
The brief conflict between Avalon and North America ended in stalemate over a year before. The erstwhile antagonists mutually agreed to integrate their forces to face a common enemy in the deep black. Out there, on the fringes of human-controlled space, Avalonian admirals and commanders still hold sway within the allied command structure. Such is not the case in the rear echelons back on Earth. Known there the Bremerton Butcher, Giles is about to face retribution. The people she bested in that violent clash will soon decide her fate and that of all those aboard her ship.

Scimitar 2: Evolution (#6) Human forces in the struggle against the Oo’ahan and their clients, the S’nethai, have recognized some ominous trends. Outnumbered and overextended, they are losing ground on several fronts. Ships and strategies appear no longer sufficient to sustain the offensive. The Solarian Navy must withdraw to what it can defend. As part of an effort to delay the inevitable, Jennifer Giles is tasked to put aside her past for a new mission. She’ll command a captured enemy vessel that has been reconfigured as a commerce raider. Deep and solo, she takes the conflict into S’nethai home space, striking at their convoys and escorts with stealth and the superior tactics for which she is renowned.
Soon afterward, the Oo’ahan efforts gain focus and momentum. Both Earth and Edasich are now at risk and the technology behind that threat is daunting. While the immediate future looks grim, something is happening on Danu. Long term plans approach fruition. The question is: will the desired effects occur in time? And will they be sufficient to turn the tide?
