MARS series by Matthew Ellis (#1-3)
Requirements: .ePUB Reader | 883 kb
Overview: I live in Albuquerque, NM, USA. I play viola in a community symphony, and work full time at UNM Hospital. My wife, Sylvia, and I have two dogs. The older dog is a Chihuahua named Lucy, and the younger dog is a cheweenie named Jackson. I've written a couple books, and they're available here on Amazon.
I'm writing the next books in the Mars series, so keep an eye out for that.
Genre: Science Fiction

Renaissance (#1) Earth in 2086 is under complete corporate control. Even air and water are controlled by corporations. Moving resources from one area to another is illegal (unless the same corporation controls both areas' rewsources). These corporate interests have enslaved mankind by controlling the currency. Scout Ellison and his group want to start a new society without currency. This new society is completely illegal. Even if it was not, it would require changing the whole world's financial system. So Scout decides to leave Earth and colonize Mars. But the military-industrial complex won't let this new society get off the ground (at least not without a fight).
Baroque Revolution (#2) After Scout Ellison and his group build a colony on Mars, the colonists arrive. The new society without money is starting to take shape.. Then they declare independence from Earth. The military-industrial complex won't allow that. The leaders of DeNoPE decide to take action. They want the colony disbanded and the members arrested. They send a military force to Mars to retrieve Scout and his group. They don't realize that Mars is defended. The Martians have freedom, and that's worth all the hardships in the universe.
Classical (#3) General Rich is not giving up just because DeNoPE lost the war. He has a plan to bring the Martiansl into submission. At the same time, a group of fugitives land on Mars and find something they didn't expect to find. All of this throws a monkey wrench in Scout's plans to correct the tilt of their new planet. The treaty allows DeNoPE to retrieve fugitives from Mars, but Scout and Jordan think there's more the story than DeNoPE lets on. The Republic of Mars allows them to search the planet, but they don't trust them. General Rich shows how evil he can be, and Scout decides to turn the tables on DeNoPE.
