Overview: Teckla was born in Missouri but raised in a small Kansas town. It was no secret that she loved reading from a very young age, and that love only grew over the years. She enjoys anything from fantasy to romance to historical fiction. Some of her favorites are J.R.R. Tolkien, Brian Jacques, Anne McCaffrey, and Stephen Lawhead. While Teckla has always enjoyed writing, mainly journaling, it took her quite a few years to realize that it was much more than a hobby. When she first started seriously writing her first story it took three years to finish. As the story grew so did her desire to share it with others. Now she spends the majority of her free time writing the tales that have been building in her head for years, and she loves every moment of it.

Discovering the Legacy [01]

Rise of the Time Lords [02]

Under direction of Mindin, the pair must learn to use the powers bestowed on them in order to chase back the seeping darkness plaguing the lands. That evil power has set his eyes on the Time Lords, and he won’t stop until he or the lords are dead. In order to end the evil president’s dark reign, Tukil and Katelyn are forced to leave the safety of the Elven kingdom. They make their way to Libyon Country to cut off the male’s army led by none other than an old enemy. Tukil is forced to leave Katelyn behind as he goes on an arduous journey to seek help from the Griffons, and to reach their high nests, he must climb the peaks of the Harkok Mountains. Finally, after a harsh battle, the Time Lords face their greatest enemy, but the question remains: Who is stronger? Will the lords be able to banish the darkness for good, and thus help end slavery and prejudice against the Libyons, or will they perish in the attempt?

Saving Lurien [03]
Lurien has been a slave for as long as he can remember. Captured by Humans as a child, he’s spent his years in darkness and pain—unaware that he has a champion in the outside world. Holding onto hope is a dangerous thing, but it’s all he has left as he suffers at the hands of his Mistress and her Human guards.
After his cousin’s disappearance, Damis set out on his own to face the perils of the world and the dangerous Humans to find Lurien and return him to the world they once shared. When his every lead turns up cold and the winter approaches, it seems all may be lost for the young Libyons until whispers of a Time Lord who escaped slavery reaches Damis’ ears. Answering his plea for help, the powerful and magic wielding Time Lords, Tukil and Katelyn, take Damis under their wing. Together, with a motley crew of Shifters, Libyons, Trolls, and Time Travelers, they set out on a mission to free Lurien and all the others who have fallen victim to the Human’s vile slave trade. By a twist of fate, Lurien and Damis are reunited, but even though the physical chains are broken, the ones on his heart and soul remain. In order to survive this thing we call life, one must shed his fears and the other must look at the world through a slave’s eyes.

Fight For Freedom [04]
“We’ve turned these bleeding hearts into bleeding hands…” For centuries, the Humans have enslaved and abused innocent peoples. Now, the Time Lords, Tukil and Katelyn, have determined enough is enough. On a mission to rescue the oppressed, the once segregated peoples of Lynomith will follow them into a Fight for Freedom. In order to politically enable Lahlia to rescue their people, they must remove the king from power. However, King Rito is craftier than they give him credit for, and his retaliation may just destroy what they’ve worked to build. Rumors of the Time Lord’s work and the war begin to circle the castle just as Lurien fully recovers from a mortal wound with the help of his cousin Damis. Although it’s difficult to leave the family he’s created with the other free slaves, the decision is made. Lurien and Damis set out on the back of a Griffon and return home for a bittersweet reunion he’s dreamt of since his rescue, and what awaits him on the farm may be the biggest challenge he’s faced yet. The raging battles against the Humans bring about more than unrest for the people, and Wren and Terry’s friendship begins to falter as the strain of freeing the slaves wears their already fragile bond. Unable to bear the pain of the unrequited love he feels for his best friend, Terry flees in search of solace. Only a glimpse into the Time Traveler’s sordid past is enough to make Wren see he cannot just let the other male go. His hawk knows what belongs to him, and he will stop at nothing to keep Terry at his side. As each piece moves across the game board, lives are changed and destinies are forged in blood, sweat, and tears. No more will the peoples of Lynomith stand silently while they are taken over and destroyed by Humans.
