Indentured servitude was not on Katrice’s bucket list, but there she is, a year later with the final payment in hand. With everything that happened a year ago still fresh in her mind she’s eager to put it all behind her. Her former owner gives her one last task, as thank you for her service. The job, escort the Stewardess Tia to a distant frontier planet.
Transporting a government liaison like a Stewardess is normally an easy job, but Tia chose Kat for a reason. One that morphs their simple delivery into something more, aimed deep in Conglomerate space. Before setting out, a rare shipment will need to be obtained from an elusive dealer to gain entry.
With her marriage falling apart, her lost past dragged into the light, and the threat of a deadly mission ahead of them, Kat is at a breaking point. All she wants are things to return to the way they were before. But out in the light, the truth changes everything.

Katrice Wylde has been many things in her life, but an ambassador who uses her body as a bargaining chip never made her bucket list. But, here she is anyway, as head Stewardess and sister-in-law Tia come asking for a favor.
Kat is the only one with the strength, skill, want, and of course access to an AI that Tia can ask for this dangerous task ahead. Being a Stewardess grants Kat access to the prestigious Earth Empire’s Unity Day celebration where conquered treasures will be put on display. One of which being Tia’s lost Key.
Kat now has to follow down a path she never wanted for herself, and isn’t sure she wants to. Her mother left this life, and though she might gain insight, what is required of her might be more than Kat is willing to do. With the eydulans lives in her hands as they plan a heist from humanities most secure vault, Kat has only one question.
