Sometimes I make things worse, though. For myself especially. Right now, for instance, I'm under a spell that has erased all memory of me from the world. Not only that, the spell will turn me into a soulless ghoul in three days time if I don't find a way to lift it. That's what I get for walking into a trap while trying to catch a magickslinging serial killer who is still hellbent on completing his brutal and bloody endgame.
The clock is ticking on my soul, and no matter how much magick I sling, bad keeps getting worse. Which is why I find myself chasing crazy ghosts, facing off against mad Adepts and cavorting with crafty demons, all while still tumbling fast towards full-blown ghoul status.
And did I mention the fate of the world is in my magick-stained hands?
