Star Guild Omnibus (10-18) by Brandon Ellis
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 1.0MB
Overview: The enslavement of humanity and the lies that kept the truth hidden are unraveling, which doesn't bode well for Lien-L and the Nankuani, the controlling enemies that want nothing less than complete extermination of the human race. Hundreds of thousands have already perished at their hands, and the remaining humans attempt their most important escape of all...an escape to freedom.
Our heroes and heroines struggle to uncover the truth behind the attacks, but will they survive the onslaught?
Genre: Fiction; Sci-fi/Fantasy

Included in this Omnibus:
Episode 10 - The Device
Shadows stretched across Starship Sirona's back as the sun descended toward the horizon. It was dusk, but here on Lumus nightfall never occurred. Wind was just as rare. So when Sleuth—small and skinny and wearing unnecessarily large wire-framed glasses—felt the vibration coming from his HDC telling him that a motion detector had been tripped a few miles away, he knew the motion was not from the wind. Their guests were arriving early.
Episode 11 - Blowback
The Oberum was a strangely quiet and translucent starfighter. If one paid attention long enough as it flew by, one could see that an Oberum was egg-shape. On the other hand, if one wasn't keeping a close eye on the starfighter they wouldn't see it at all. When in flight it was practically invisible to the naked eye and only gave off a quiet hum, much like a hummingbird.
Episode 12 - Tranquil
Sphere 1 was the Military Sphere, a sphere where Starhawk Transports and Starfighters—top secret or not—came and went. What the citizens of Matrona knew of Sphere 1 transports were their trips back and forth to Lumus to pick up and drop off mining equipment, Mech pilots for work, and ebb rock that had been gathered the day before. What they didn't know were that some transports took clandestine trips to another star system many thousands of light years away.
Episode 13 - Intuition
Eden stood in front of door thirty-six. She held out a small piece of paper with the same number typed on it.
Episode 14 - Exposed
The only place to sit in the small cell was on a block of cold ebb rock. The flicker of a torch in the hallway cast shadows from the cell bars, which striped Crystal’s face and body as she contemplated her predicament. Leaning forward she touched one of the bars, pulling hard on it to test its strength. It felt immovable. And since the Dwarves were experts working with ebb rock, Crystal figured it was unlikely that even her sword would be able to free her.
Episode 15 - Escape
Chains clanked down the long, rocky corridor, echoing into Crystal and Daf's cell. Crystal held her arms against her chest as she sat on the stone cold ground, her back against the wall. Her downcast eyes drifted to the bars, waiting for what was to come.
Episode 16 - Special Mission
Crystal slouched in Starship Tranquil's admiral's chair, looking up at the vid screen surrounding the entire bridge. She glanced at Harak who was sitting next to her with his arms folded and frowning.
Episode 17 - Gaia
Chase never knew the sky could be so big. It was blue and wide, and random cotton ball clouds drifting across the horizon. The moons, which might as well be called planets, were just above the atmosphere—or so it seemed. They appeared so close that he thought he could toss a rock at them and actually hit them. In a way, it was frightening. Any closer and those planets would get sucked into Aurora's magnetic gravity pull, causing a collision he didn't want to think about.
Episode 18 - Never Say Never
“Thun, get Harak under control,” yelled Crystal, as she tried to concentrate on the battle—a vast starscape of destruction, laser volleys, and massive ships that moved like slugs but withstood shots like a tank.
