It was then when we gave birth to our true cruel nature, and our creations reflected every strand and breath of our inhumanity. Rumors flew through the muffled air catching few fertile ears of an outbreak in the southern parts of our enormous empire. People were in abundance but common sense was a deep dried up water well until all the soft whispers became a factual monstrous awakening. The dead rose from their slumber in an uncontrollable rage consuming life and hope in an apocalyptic explosion of blood and screams. Dark smoke poisoned the burning skies as our frail minds questioned reality in disbelieve. Death has been engineered to perfection in well funded private laboratories to steal life not owed. We had more than we need but the need became more as we cracked the vault of gods. They called it human evolution, selling tear drops tapped from the fountain of youth to the greedy and famous. Everything has its price even immortality. People scattered into the world like oil on water when a solvent presents itself, clustering in small tribes and manmade fortresses. We closed the doors of our castles leaving thousands of souls naked to a world that has transformed into a goreish nightmare.…”
