Colin seeks refuge in his own creations, after his confrontation with the World Voice revealed his powerlessness against the creature. Despite his hiding, Colin meets the Creator of Utopias, Dalana, and is called to join her in an effort to destroy the Voice's world. His powers are put to test when Dalana's group use his capacity to resist the World Voice's great pillar to conclude their experiments. Amidst their attempts at striking at the enemy, something changes, something unexpected and terrible, making Colin's defenses against the World Voice begin to fail. When a new world rises in front of Colin's eyes, he prepares a message to Mae, the Creator of Terra, his only hope of having his home world back. Except that the planets of the new world are different, unlike any planet before them, and the humans inhabiting them are nothing like those from Terra.
