#1 - Torragami: aka The First Private
It’s the year 2095. The third world war rages on. After years of nuclear blasts, the world is a desert without hope, an arid land full of toxic waste.
The confederate states of the Megaschine advance to impose their relentless totalitarian regimen on the world. If nobody stops them, our freedom will soon evaporate. The allied powers have fled, the remainders of which have joined forces to create ÆTAS to confront the Megachine threat.
My name is Argo Herrero. I’m one of the millions of unfortunate souls born under the banner of war, in one of the countries conquered by the Chavistas, who have pledged their loyalty under the Megachine threat of annihilation. ÆTAS is recruiting. They say the balance between defending freedom and utter destruction is tilting in favor of total annihilation.
We can wait for the Megachine to take it all. Or we can migrate north to join ÆTAS to fight against the advancing menace. My best friends will come with me—they are the only family I have left.
We’re going to war to win or lose it all!
#2 - The Last Commander
After ten thousand years of war, humanity has obtained its wish—crusading the Milky Way. My name was Argo Herrero. I’m now Lynx, my code of war. Planetary system after planetary system, we’ve slain all intelligent species once alive in our galaxy. All but one, the last intelligent species left to be purged by our ranks.
What will become of us when we’ve purged the whole galaxy? I don’t know, but I’m afraid of what we’ll become, of what I’ve already become.
