Protected by The Damned Series by Michael Todd (AKA Michael Anderle) (#1-5,7)

Overview: Hello, my name is Michael Todd and I'm a fun loving guy who writes full time for a living. Protected by the Damned (and other stories I might place here) are some of my 'other things' I work on when I take a break from other authoring responsibilities. In other words, when I'm playing Hookey. In order to separate what has become a HUGE wall of books and get a chance to play again, I've snuck out of my real author name (Michael Anderle) and built this pen name to have some fun at the small level once more.

1. Torn Asunder
Katie Maddison never wanted to learn how to kick a demon's a**, all she was doing was helping a fellow university student with his Chem homework. She just trusted people too much. Now, she will be the new weapon in a war she had no idea existed with warriors wielding both weapons and supernatural abilities. Demon Hunters, Demon Fighters ... Known as The Damned. People possessed by Demons, but still remaining in control of their bodies. One of the most powerful Demon's in Hell can't defeat his sister, so he sets her up to be sacrificed and killed. The only problem? The human she possesses retained her sanity and together they might be a catalyst to change the future of the war. If they can stay alive and learn how to share one body, that is. Now, a millennium old Demon who has no morals is stuck with a hard-headed young woman, who has her own ideas regarding what her future will be. Together, they work out a truce, of sorts. Until the Demon gets hooked on soap operas, game shows and changing Katie's body without permission. Then All Hell Breaks Loose.
2. Killing Is My Business
Katie Maddison never wanted to learn how to kick a demon's a*s, but know that she knows how, she is going to give it her all. Now, she isn't the newbie on the team, but rather one of the teachers. She is a demon hunter, a demon fighters ... Known as one of The Damned. But to stay in control, she has to work out her truce with Pandora who is constantly testing her patience. This time, Katie's desire to help others helps her find a valuable asset. A young blacksmith whose family might have the secret to weapons that can help change the war. The only problem? The government might want what she has, if they learn about it. Before Katie can do much, the team is informed of a major operation planned for the Western United States. An incursion that even Pandora is stressed about.
3. And Business Is Good
No plan survives contact with the enemy. Especially when the enemy has capabilities you didn't know about. T'Chezz is upping the effort with the war and unleashing an unbound Demon on San Diego while Katie / Pandora and Calvin happen to be in town. However, to save Calvin, Katie is going to have to divulge more abilities that could get back to Korbin. With the special weapons taking a toll on his plans, T'Chezz finds out he isn't the only one who has new capabilities. So, he decides to increase the burn. Katie and Pandora are having to learn how to work together...and yet make sure that Korbin believes Katie isn't being taken on a ride by a Demon with centuries of guile under her belt.
4. Sit Down Shut Up And Pull The Trigger
Sometimes, you have to let the top down and your hair fly free. Especially when you spent so much time, money and effort to buy a fake ID. T'Chezz is working on an attack, but the team doesn't know about it. After the successful fight in Los Angeles, Katie and Pandora are letting their hair down, arguing over donuts and how much Italian food to eat. Then, their investigator contact calls with alarming intel, and Katie is asked to get up close and personal with the politician to find out what he knows. The answer is something no one expected, and will change the course of Korbin's Killers forever.
5. Welcome To The Jungle
The weapons are being released, the military is sniffing around, and Katie is bitching up a storm about her lost Ferrari. Stephanie is helping the team move to a new location, and focusing her talents where she feels they will be best used. On the team. In New York, T'Chezz is starting a new effort to acquire information acquisition contacts. Otherwise known as spies and turncoats. One young woman is on a path to ignore life, thinking “My day couldn't possibly get worse.” Bad choice of words. Now Katie and Pandora need to help her sort out her life before the last two options she has are research...Or death. And if that wasn't a big enough pain for Katie, the military comes calling for help.
7. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
It's time to ask the right team for the solution. The Demons have turned the tables on the Damned, and it takes a little while to catch up. It's quiet, too quiet. Pandora reveals a little bit more about herself, who she is, and what she can do. And Damian has to make some hard choices. There is someone new coming to the team, and he is just this side of ... different. The war with the enemy is burning - and it's time the General calls for special backup. Because now even he spells backup 'K.A.T.I.E.'
