A Facility black site-under siege. An otherworldly symbiant devouring Assets. Malfunctioning Facility tech gone mad.
Wealthy playboy Michael Bishop is enjoying an evening in, giving San Francisco's young ladies a break from his handsome face. When instead his Facility systems mysteriously activate on their own, he begins to suspect that something may be catastrophically wrong.
Soon, he learns that "wrong" is a vast understatement.
A loathsome horror has infected a top-secret laboratory, corrupting Facility Assets and driving them mad. Now malformed and broken, these inhuman creatures furiously attack him even as their physical forms mutate and decay.
This isn't even the worst of it. As the laboratory systems malfunction and degrade, Bishop finds himself alone in the depths of drones, abandoned devices, and technological oddity. The deeper he delves, the more he uncovers pulsing aberrant strangeness. The sickness spreads, devouring all it touches.
With the clock ticking, Bishop soon realizes a terrible truth. If he cannot discover the source of the repugnant creature...
It may well devour everything he knows.
