The Heroes of Old are on the tongues of every bard across Vieres, but their own tongues are sealed with a secret promise. They were told that magic returned to its source but Rienna's daughter Eden inherits a double-edged magic. Left with Seije, the Queen's Guard captain and a cherished friend, Eden becomes restless for answers. Eden is not alone. As more young people find the boon and bane of mysterious magical gifts, it becomes imperative to travel North to find answers before a corrupt force finds them first.

Picking up from where A World Reborn: Children of Heroes left off, the children of the old Heroes are not the only ones struck by the mysterious return of magic. Tucked on the western edge of Vieres is the isolated Kitfolk Territory and across the ocean to the east, things are stirring among the Felisfolk of the continent of Wheryf. The threat casts indiscriminate shadows and the ones marked by magic gather wherever they can find light. The corruption spares no one as it seeks them out. They must move fast before their gifts become their own undoing.
3. Deicide
In this conclusion of the World Trilogy, the group learns the origin of their magic, a secret even older than the Old Gods. They must lure a powerful enemy for a final stand but the journey has already taken a toll on their strengths, physical and mental, and it's a thin hope at best.
