Overview: In elementary school, I started writing a novel called "The Direction," meant to be a Horror-story akin to the Goosebumps and Twilight Zone specials I'd been exposed to. In 2017 (over a decade later), I actually re-read and gutted "The Direction" re-purposing its characters for my third novel "Catherine: Forever with Love". I envisioned Catherine as a psychedelic and eccentric novel from the get-go, a left-handed novel from a right-handed artist, I wanted it to almost act as an homage to old-school slasher films. More than that though, I wanted it to feel like the story I always wish I was told, very grating, very focused in on imagery and environments. It follows a young-girl named Holly Prescott, who finds herself tormented by entities called The Miasma, which are essentially demonic creatures that torture and terrorize their prey before going in for the kill. I had also written horror-stories with the hope of one day recording them into short-films on YouTube, although, in the end (and perhaps, thankfully), those crude concepts never came to fruition to embarrass me years later. By high-school, I hadn't really decided what I wanted to dedicate my time with. I was always drawn to writing fiction but it was in my freshman year I really took the plunge and went all in. It was in my World History class I jotted down an introspective that went onto become my first novel Blind Salvation.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

2. Katalene the Hollow
Life in the village of Wilson is far from what many people would call adventurous. But, when Katalene and her brother Rooven make the decision to venture out into the Whispey Deserts in search of riches, they discover an ugly-side to the world that they never knew.
3. The Heir's Brother
The Heir's Brother tells the story of Prince Roxwale, son of King Blaine and older brother to Prince Palon, rightful heir to the throne. Although the bond between Roxwale and Palon is close - they could not be any more different. Whereas Palon is strong and respected, Roxwale is feeble and indignant of his treatment through the City of Esko. While accompanying Palon on one of his escapades, Roxwale's body is poisoned, resulting in mass hysteria and hallucinations.
Dreams ensue that witness Roxwale being called to by a horned goddess that claims herself as The Queen of Bahal and the Prince soon finds that his behavior has been manipulated as well. After committing a wrongful act for which he was not in-control, Prince Roxwale embarks on the unlikely journey to confront the horned goddess and prove his innocence.
Roxwale: The Heir's Brother is the third installment in McConnaughay's The Aeonian Fantasy series, set before the events of The Red Flux & the Wunderkind Thief and shortly after Katalene the Hollow.
