Ever had a text from a deity? Conrad Clarke did.
Someone has plans for Conrad, and those plans don’t involve an easy life. Conrad Clarke, former RAF pilot and alleged gangster is dragged out of his comfort zone by a visit from The Allfather. Norse gods in twenty-first century England? Don’t be silly. Load of nonsense. Before you can say “Ragnarok”, Conrad is plunged into a world of gods, Mages, Witches, Dwarves and one rather aggressive giant mole. But he has next to no magick of his own. Armed with nothing but a sense of humour and a willingness to cheat, Conrad has to save the Witch – and his life.

You’d think that staying alive and saving the girl would be enough for now. After proving himself in a desperate magickal battle, Conrad is admitted to the King’s Watch. And what does the world of magick do? It laughs in his face. At least Conrad now has a partner with some serious magickal firepower. Vicky Robson joins him on a mission to investigate rumours of a Dragon’s egg, and to get him through his entry test for the Invisible College. But the Invisible College won’t play ball, and that Dragon’s egg is all too real. Conrad grits his teeth and reminds the magickal world that he who laughs loudest laughs last…

Another Day, Another Scar…
Conrad needs a rest. The universe has other ideas. Conrad had planned the perfect weekend in the English Lake District – tie up some loose ends before spending the night with his girlfriend. Simple. What could possibly go wrong? Everything is the answer. An innocent man is murdered to cover up magickal misdeeds, and before they can draw breath, Conrad and his partner in magickal crime-fighting, Vicky Robson, are on the trail of a Mage who hides behind dark magick to kill at a distance.

Unto the Tenth Generation…Must we atone for our ancestors’ sins?
Conrad’s 11xGreat Grandfather has been haunting his house since 1622, keeping a secret and biding his time. A secret that spells trouble for the world of magick. The King’s Watch want to Summon him. The keepers of the secret don’t want that to happen. They unleash a fire Mage to stop the summoning and don’t care who dies on the way. And when Spectre Thomas finally makes an appearance, he passes the guilt of old sins on to Conrad’s shoulders. Wild, dark magick is on the loose, and Conrad has to carry the burden of tracking it down. With death and destruction on all sides, his problems have multiplied. Tenfold. The King’s Watch are back.

The King is Dead. Long Live the King.
The Mage-King of Wessex has passed away, and the stage is set for a battle royal: The richest Mage in England versus the most powerful Coven of Witches. And Conrad finds himself in the middle. The struggle is a civilised one at first – Lord Mowbray and the Daughters of the Goddess meet for a conference in Mowbray’s Mage palace of Pellacombe, with Conrad, Mina and Saffron sent to see fair play. Until first tragedy and then murder plunge the staff kingdom of Wessex into a dangerous crisis, and Conrad has to draw on all his team’s powers and his own experience to avoid a bloodbath.
