Overview: Over a billion beings perished during the Founders War and six years after its conclusion the major governments of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants have not fully recovered from the devastation. During this rebuilding period, a band of pirates known as the Talesian Brotherhood had grown from a minor irritation to an ever-increasing threat to shipping lanes and isolated planets.
When the Brotherhood attacks a poorly-defended planet, a number of Starfleet Security personnel are killed including their commanding officer, Lt. Tatiana Shushunova-Nandi.
