The royals and noblemen are far more sophisticated in matters of intrigue, gossip, and slander than anyone she has dealt with before. She has to win the hearts and minds of the members of the Royal Family and of her own family. She writes a letter addressed to her husband to come and meet her in the Royal Palace. Will Jess accept this invitation?
#11 - The Roads of Strangers
The heroine has made a long journey to progress and happiness in the alternate world. Still, there are many knots to untangle, a long way home and lots of dangers around the corner for a strong self-made woman.
Once, in another world, she put on the mask of Her Grace Lilian Earton. Now, when she has to go by her real name of Aliya, she doesn't understand when that mask became her own face.
Stranded in a strange land and forced to live a lie, she managed to carve out a resemblance of a comfortable existence for herself and the women around her. But lies can't last forever... Or can they?
