They thought the soul eaters were a myth from a long forgotten past. Drunken tales told in dark taverns to draw a shudder. They were wrong.
A thousand years have passed, the barrier between worlds has been breached. The soul eaters and their demonic servants gather, eager for the harvest of human souls. Casca, a tavern owner who didn't know one end of a sword from another, is cast in the unlikely role of saviour and protector. Pagan, a wanderer from the furthest corner of the world, seeking redemption for a gruesome act of vengeance committed in his youth vows to stand with him.
All seems lost as unspeakable evil stalks the land, leaving a trail of despair and destruction. But the threads of fate weave, drawing three mighty warriors into the maelstrom. As the final cataclysmic battle looms, the burden on the small band is crushing, for they are the only hope for a world teetering on the edge of a new age of darkness.
#2 - The King's Banquet
An old adage: A wise man would grab a king's largesse with both hands when offered, for the next day, he might demand your head on a whim.
Soul eaters stalk the land, leaving a trail of destruction with none safe from the abominations. With his armies and best warriors slaughtered, their souls drank like fine wine, the king in desperation seeks the counsel of the greatest sorcerer of the age. He is advised to put a call out for warriors of renown. Two answer the call.
When Belash's wife and son are taken by the abominations, his life spirals into despair, drunkenness and wanton violence. Seeking a measure of revenge, he too answers the king's call, taking up his father's old axe, Ausak Demon Bane and journeying to the capital.
The soul eaters are vanquished, with Belash and his companions lauded as a heroes. A banquet is held in their honour, but none could have foreseen the cataclysmic events at night's close.
#3 - Siege
A young man on a journey of self-discovery in a land at war. Will he be forged into the finest tempered steel, or shatter into a thousand pieces?
