The Shattered City once stood as the capital of the High Elven empire, a shining beacon of culture and power. Now its cursed ruins mark the gravesite of a lost age.
Even the most fearsome creatures and powerful archmages in Danan know that setting foot in the Shattered City spells certain death, but that's exactly what Charity and her new companions plan on doing.
Not that they have much choice. An aspiring wizard holds their lives in his hands, and the price of their freedom is a long-lost artifact hidden within the ruins. Can they overcome the ancient curse and escape with their lives, or will the Shattered City claim them as its next victims?

4. Vaults Of The Undergloom - Lost in a world of darkness and danger...

The primordial horrors that prowl the shadows of the Undergloom are always eager to devour the unwary who wander into their realm. Unfortunately, that's exactly what Charity and her friends just did.
It should have been a simple mission, but a deadly surprise forces the companions to flee into the labyrinthine underworld. Finding herself enslaved in a dark elf prison camp would have been bad enough, but losing her enchanted necklace in the process leaves her cut off from the magic she'd just learned to wield. Charity is no stranger to scrapping her way out of a bad spot, but the sudden loss of her magic is tearing her body apart and dragging her closer to death by the minute.
When her fight to survive uncovers a looming threat to every living thing on the surface, can she find a way to save her life, save her friends, and save the world, or will the Undergloom claim her as its next victim?

Saving the world from a horde of ravenous horrors ought to entitle a girl to a day of rest, but that's not an option when an ancient curse drags you closer to death every day.
My one chance at a cure: A dangerous and untested ritual that will shatter my soul if it fails.
The only wizards powerful enough to execute the spell: A council of elves so arrogant, they make the emperor look like a humble novice. Gaining their assistance would be difficult in the best of times, but I'm quickly learning that court intrigue and hidden motives can be more dangerous than any blade even in the best of times. These are not the best of times.
The Mad King Tyrial has returned. This time he has an army of bloodthirsty monsters at his back, watching and waiting for their chance to feast.
Now, my friends and I are the only hope of a city under siege. The elves will pay a horrible price if we fail and will be the first to fall as Tyrial's thirst for vengeance consumes the world in blood, fire, and death.
