Overview: S Mays grew up in a small rural town in Virginia. He spent much of his childhood building elaborate stories in his head, reading whatever books were hidden around the house, or exploring the local woods. His grandma possessed a bookshelf containing a set of hopelessly outdated encyclopedias, which he read front to back numerous times.

1. Survive the Dungeon - Imagine yourself trapped in a dungeon. Now imagine you’re alone and unarmed.
Awakening in stone cell, he has no memory of his past.
He is weaponless, defenseless, without spells, or even necessities such as food and water. Survival under such conditions would be difficult in any situation, but it’s nearly impossible when monsters and other threats lurk around every corner. No fighter, no cleric, no ranger, or druid to assist him. A lone man against the darkness.
He must delve deep into the dungeon’s hostile depths if he has any hope of escape, but no one leaves the dungeon unchanged…
2. Rebuild the Dungeon - Fate and indomitable willpower deliver the means to reap unholy vengeance.
The man with no past takes the mantle of Dungeon Master for himself. Gaining but two memories, he now knows the architects of his scars and anguish. Before he can take his revenge, his warriors must be strengthened and trained. Traps must be laid and plans formulated.
The dungeon is weak but he is strong. He won't rest until those that wronged him and who prey on the weak have faced the God of Punishment's justice.
3. Unleash the Dungeon - His list of enemies grows — but so does his power.
The unexpected onslaught of an entire guild almost crushes the dungeon. Instead, the enemy becomes yet another tool of punishment. Keeping his promise to Zarah, the unnamed Dungeon Master turns his wrath upon Duke Merromont's estate. He enlists new allies to fortify the dungeon while his gruesome minions grow in strength.
However, the Master's machinations have not gone unnoticed by those that rule. Despite not remembering his past, it will soon return to haunt him.
4. Beneath the Dungeon - The Dungeon Master now rules over not only his dungeon, but an entire kingdom. He and his Dungeon Heart have achieved vengeance on those who wronged them in the past. He sits atop two thrones, yet his problems have merely doubled.
His leadership is challenged in New Vadis and order in the city crumbles. A mysterious new threat emerges that means a death sentence for his dungeon.
In order to survive, it will mean descending into deeper depths to face terrifying creatures, magics, and traps...then make them bend to his iron will.
6. Dungeon Master - The Dungeon Master ventured out into the world to strike at his foes, but at what cost?
Returning to his kingdom, he finds things are not as they should be. What should be a happy reunion turns into disaster.
What will he have to sacrifice to retain his power? Can he retain his humanity when the world turns against him?
7. Avatar of Pain - The Dungeon Master has suffered tremendous losses. He's lost family, loved ones, friends, and his home. Some of his most faithful minions are now gone. Yet, he fights on. His power, knowledge, and determination know no bounds. He must continue his conquest in order to survive a world where everyone wants him dead. There is another dungeon master who dwells in the Land of Death, long rumored to be the most powerful of all of the dark god's minions. It's time to face this monster and to determine who will be the God of Punishment's Avatar of Pain.
8. Pawns of Gods - Knowledge is power.
After his encounter with Ragnor, the Dungeon Master must contend with being the God of Punishment's sole tool upon Derode. The Master soon finds that he now has Castigous' full attention, and he is not a patient god.
There are other beings of power that have long served the gods and the new Avatar of Pain is an unknown element in the precarious balance they've built over centuries. The Dungeon Master has no one but his own minions to help him navigate and survive this new playing field.
Yet, as the stakes grow, so do the potential rewards. He may find that his new knowledge and strength can open doors that lead him to his greatest desires.
