For fifteen years she’s defended humanity with Neti by her side. Hunting down rogues and slavers, and training together has strengthened their bond. She’s at peace with her place on Earth, at least until she discovers that crystal shards are being stolen from Dingir.
They travel to Kur, suspicious of another plot to restore the Anchor Crystal and re-join all dimensions into one, and quickly discover that a councilman is working in the shadows. Angela and Neti split up in their search, but as Neti grows closer to his people, the wedge between him and Angela widens. She must heal their old wounds, find the councilman responsible, and restore the balance between Dingir and Kur—or lose them all forever. But something larger is brewing; the ancient past is waking up.
3. The Fire's Soul - The last thing Angela remembers is her sword rending flesh and the goddess’s hand she took.
When she awakens to find the city of Dingir little more than a frozen wasteland, four years have come and gone, yet she has experienced the passage of entire eons through the goddess’s eyes. Ti’amat, the Mother of Serpents, will rebuild her lost world from the corpse of Angela’s. Visions of events and worlds long-since destroyed and scattered plague her sleep, yet none of them hold the key she needs to kill the goddess.
For those answers, she will have to discover the life before her own. With the last defenders of Dingir at her side, Angela must trek on to find new worlds in search of the fragments of her soul’s last incarnation—or lose everything.
