Everyone except Sarah. Her father told her to run, but in a game of hide and seek, the Fae will always win. Taken against her will violet-eyed, Janice offers Sarah an impossible choice: become a contender in the strange underground Fae games or die.
Can Sarah learn enough fairy magic to make it past the first challenge, or will she become another victim of the Fae games, locked in The Hallowed Hills for all time?
It’s a contest with one rule: compete to live.
2. Test of Fae - Nothing comes for free, especially magic.
Sarah’s escape from the Hallowed Hills is a bitter one having left Arty behind. It’s only a matter of time until Janice finds Sarah and her new friends. But instead of tricking her, in true Fae style, Janice snatches a child and lures her.
Sarah can’t save anyone without a plan and allies, and Nick is the only one she can trust. But Nick has his own objectives.
Can Sarah get in and out of the Hallowed Hills without being caught up in the Fae games? Or will she stay and discover the dark truth hiding behind the pretty faces of the Fae lies?
In Fae, there is always a price, and for Sarah, that price may be too high. Can she pass the Test of Fae, or will she end up dead like all the rest?
3. Thorns of Fae - Beauty is only skin deep, but Wild goes to the bone.
The Test of Fae left Sarah disfigured inside and out. Not only is her humanity being stripped away from her bit by bit, but now she can only see the wild monster she’s becoming on the outside.
A new and frightening problem arises: a deep mind fog controls Sarah’s reactions forcing her compliance at the most inopportune times. Deston’s presence is the only key to solving the puzzle.
With two challenges, left can Sarah and Janice fight back the enveloping darkness long enough for Sarah to take her seat on the Stone Throne or will Nikki kill her and rule? What if the only path to the throne is to unearth a dark secret from the past and end the rule of Wild?
4. Twist of Fae - I wasn't born to rule. I was made to hunt and kill.
The Fae Queen’s decree, “If you find a way to the surface without magic you may leave and never return. Now get out, and if I see you again, I’ll give you to an iron room.”
Every moment Pil remains in the Hallowed Hills is another year of Arty’s life gone. Unable to use magic to escape, places Pil on a path that will lead her down a dark road of discovery. Not only of her past but the true history of Fae and the secrets held there.
Can Pil make it to Arty before he dies or will the secrets she discovers along the way undo all she's worked for?
The story of Jack and Jill isn’t just a rhyming song to create magic, it’s the key to everything Fae and Human.
6. Thief of Fae- In a city built of iron, and run by witches, what could possibly go wrong?
Puca orders Mercia and Nick to retrieve the stone bowl of Danu. To her utter dismay, the witches of New Orleans got there first and leave with not only the bowl, but Nick too. Mercia must find a way to get the bowl back and save Nick. Will her fae blood get in the way of following a command without paying the steep price of magic, and enter a city built of deadly iron?
The only good enemy is a dead one; magic doesn’t last forever. Someone has set Jacques free and Janice has disappeared without a trace. Sarah must now hunt down fae’s greatest enemy, and she’s ruthlessly willing to do whatever is necessary to get what she wants.
Jacques is looking for something he didn’t have before the ultimate weapon, the stones of Danu.
In the middle stands Puca, safeguarding secrets or maybe answers.
One fights for Fae, one for Humanity, and one fights for them All. Come back to the twisted and darkness of These Hallowed Hills to discover for yourself the deadly outcome.
7. Tempest of Fae - For all the stones of Danu and the blood of the innocent.
Puca has one last quest for Mercia before she can find Nick and it's a doozy. The Grimoire of the Witches of Puca. The last person to see it was Pil. Both Sarah and Puca believe the grimoire's location is locked somewhere in Mercia’s mind. The only way to find it is in the past and magic can’t be changed.
The power of an oath will eat you away bit by bit until you disappear or succeed and Mercia doesn't have much left to feed it.
Janice is in Lanta and Sarah intends to free him at all costs. But she can’t go to the surface without an army. Sarah sealed all the entrances to the surface. The Fae were chased down into These Hallowed Hills its time to come out, come out, where ever you are, and fight. The CDC is just the first battle.
Jacques would never put all his eggs in one basket and neither would the GOVs.
Sarah has discovered a missing piece to the stone puzzle hiding in plain sight and it's the answer to ending the war for good, but only if Mercia comes through.
One fights for Fae, one for humanity, and one fights for them all. You choose who is who.
