Overview: Jeff Bacon was born and raised on a farm near the city of Aberdeen, South Dakota. He attended Northern State University where he attained a BS in Accounting, a BS in Information Technologies and an MBA. He now lives in Janesville, Wisconsin with his wife, their children and 2 dogs. Having worked in IT since 1994, Jeff has always had an eye on the evolution of technology. But inside himself he always knew there was a writer struggling to get out and make himself heard. Throwing caution to the wind, he decided to write his first book and the result is The Darkside of Good, which is a supernatural thriller that pits good against evil as the battle of Armageddon approaches. In his spare time, Jeff participates in Brazilian Jujitsu and submission wrestling. He also enjoys outdoor sports like kayaking, rock climbing and zip lining, but when he is feeling creative he loves nothing better than working with a piece of wood and making something unique. Being new to the world of writing, Jeff is interested to see where it will lead him in the future. The opportunity to entertain readers with his imagination is an intriguing prospect and he hopes that enough people will like his work to inspire him to write and entertain more.

1. The Darkside of Good
Some missions are doomed from the start.
Lieutenant Jacob Baccus and his platoon are assigned to a Protective Services Detail to escort a group of scientists to the Iraqi National Museum at the beginning of the war.
The mission goes sideways as it is extended to escort the scientists and their cargo to a secret base in Antarctica.
Jacob soon finds out the world he thought he knew, is a cloak for a mystical and evil place.
Is Jacob good, or is he evil? Is he the savior, or just a useful pawn used to start Armageddon? He may be the chosen one, but chosen for what?
2. Jacob's Ladder
Jacob can’t tell if he is blessed or cursed.
He’s given powers and extra strength that also intensify his anger issues. He finds his childhood memories are all lies. He tracks down his extended family, now they want him dead. Jacob must deal with his past, including an invincible enemy that wants to wreak havoc on the humans in the world.
Ever since Jacob left the Army, he hasn’t really known who he could trust, nothing changes. Exposed to Witches, Giants, Vampires, and Shadow People, Jacob dives head first into his new world and must make leaps of faith in order to stop evil.
Jacob will have to pull out all the stops to save his friends and stop a plan to control the world with an ancient drug. Failure means death and the creation of a world of mindless slave. Can he succeed?
