Overview: As an only child of older migrant parents, I was exposed to a different culture and outlook as I growing up in the suburbs of Sydney. At the age of 10 I became interested in history and travel, and in sixth grade my teacher commented on my flair for writing.
After a lot of travel and reading about history - I started with Thor Heyerdahl's adventures which led me to other books about unexplained mysteries such as pyramids and other megaliths around the world - I came to a point where I wanted to put it all together in an epic fantasy novel.

Rhuna: New Horizons: A Strange and Deadly New World (#4)
Rhuna is a woman living in the mystical past of highly advanced civilizations like Atlantis, when pyramids and other megalithic structures were made with technology now lost and forgotten. Part of this ancient legend tells of people with special abilities who can transform elements, such as sand to stone and lead to gold, with the concentrated power of the mind. They could also summon mental visions of faraway places and events, and call upon cosmic, solar, lunar and earth energies.
Rhuna has been gifted with more of these superhuman abilities than most, and as her powers grow, she faces ever greater challenges, both on a personal level and in far-reaching issues that affect everyone around her. Her nemesis is a man with similar exceptional powers, who has chosen to use them for selfish purposes which harm Rhuna’s idyllic, utopian society.
After sacrificing a life of comfort and security for her daughter’s sake, Rhuna and her family go into exile and start a new life in the former Atlan colony of Varappa. This faraway land is a frontier of new technology such as air travel, loops in time and a society apparently flourishing without a governing body of any kind.
On the surface, everyone appears to thrive in this liberated society, but this kind of free thinking is fertile ground for the Dark Master and his followers. Just when Rhuna and her family settle into their beautiful new lakeside home, strange things begin to happen. Powerful conjurers cause upheaval with their sinister magic, driving people from their homes.
An isolated society claiming to adhere to the ways of the First Atlans, appear to be fighting a losing battle against these followers of the Dark Master. While attempting to find a diplomatic solution to the escalating conflict, Rhuna faces great challenges in her personal life. Aradin’s love for her has cooled off inexplicably, and Lozira’s emotional wellbeing teeters on a precarious threshold. In desperation, Rhuna combines her magical powers and Varappan technology to do the unthinkable. What she does, however, is forbidden, and brings about a rift between her and her own father. Rhuna may have headed down a path from which there is no turning back…
Rhuna: Black City: The Abomination from Another Time (#6)
Rhuna is faced with the greatest challenge yet as her nemesis, The Dark Master, eludes his pursuers by building a time portal and stepping eight centuries into the past where his devious plans have no bounds. He establishes a city in a remote part of the world, but everything he does in the past has terrible and far-reaching consequences in Rhuna’s present time.
Together with her family and friends, Rhuna attempts to learn more about the Dark Master’s Black City, and find a way to stop both him and the horrible fall-out of his selfish and ruthless rulership. But even with the help of several representatives sent by the High Council of Atlán in an attempt to thwart the Dark Master’s sinister threat to the peaceful known world, Rhuna realizes the only solution will be a very drastic one.
As Rhuna develops her skills to read people’s auras and learns the Great Secrets of the First Atlans, she is confronted by the possibility of losing a member of her family. At the same time, a strange new threat emerges from a distant land that affects Rhuna directly, distracting her from seeing a way to end the death and violence in the Black City.
