Silver Fox & The Western Hero series by M.H. Johnson (#1-5)

Overview: A longtime lover of all things fantasy and science fiction, there was nothing I liked more as a kid than heading to the library and picking up the latest book written by one of my favorite authors. As I got a little bit older I couldn't help but wonder if I could weave together grand tapestries of high adventure in the hopes that readers like yourself might one day take a look at them and enjoy the stories within. I am currently writing novels in both the fantasy and GameLit / LitRPG genre.

1. Warrior Reborn
Alex was all about second chances. Even if it meant being frozen alive.
And if his cortex got uploaded into a digital universe filled with countless worlds to explore until a cure could be found for his cancer, all the better.
The last thing he expected was to wake up naked and alone in the bowels of an ancient ship filled with raiders carrying enough poison to kill an entire city!
The choices he makes from there will have profound consequences not only for his own fate, but for an entire realm as he faces down bloodthirsty pirates, ruthless cultivators, and fearsome demigods while taking his first steps along a path of power that might one day forge a cultivator strong enough to challenge the very heavens themselves!
2. Warrior Reforged
The Crimson Path. There is power in death. As every gamer knows. Experience points, kill counts, gem drops. It all amounts to the same thing. Cutting down one’s enemies and growing strong, claiming their endless potential for oneself. A Cultivator’s darkest secret. Or perhaps just Alex’s own. It was the warrior’s crimson path.
A path Alex would have to embrace once more, waking up to find himself in chains of iron, captured by bandits who saw him only as a beast of burden to be bought and sold.
And that was just the beginning of a perilous journey that would see Alex facing down vile slavers, corrupt merchants, ferocious spirit beasts, and bloodthirsty cultivators eager to see him fall.
Because no matter what it took, Alex was determined to reach Dragon Academy and learn the cultivator’s arts, taking those first fateful steps along a path of power that would one day see him stride the world as a titan among men, powerful enough to challenge the edicts of fate and the heavens themselves!

Miraculously, Alex had survived the crucible of combat and emerged victorious, earning the right to attend Dragon Academy. But his trials had only begun.
For Alex had dared the unthinkable.
A despised Ruidian entering Dragon Academy was an abomination the school’s elite would stop at nothing to destroy, eager to cripple or kill him if they possibly could.
Even worse, Alex’s mentor was notorious for throwing his disciples into the thick of any conflict, no matter how unfair the odds. Alex knew only two paths lay before him: To be forged in the fires of his enemies’ hate into a killing blade capable of cutting down all his foes… Or to be hammered into slag, never to rise again.

Forbidden Power. Alex survives a Silver Alchemist’s best efforts to destroy him, but not without paying a terrible price.
He soon finds himself stripped of all aid, allies, and resources, with all hands turned against him.
Even worse, if Alex can’t make it to the capital city while dodging all the perils and traps his enemies place in his path, millions of innocents, including the first girl to ever touch his heart, will perish in terror and flame.
Alex's focus, resolve, and ability to overcome catastrophic peril will be put to the test like never before, his trials serving as the key to a path of power that could one day forge the deadliest cultivator this world has ever known.
