Genre: Fiction » Sci-Fi/Fantasy

#2 The Edge of Human
K.W. Jeter picks up the tale of Rick Deckard, the `blade runner' created by Phillip K. Dick and popularized by Ridley Scott's cult classic film. Consistent with the sordid vision of 21st century Los Angeles crafted by Dick and Scott, Jeter creates a stylish piece of thrilling, futuristic suspense that finds Deckard not only in the role of hunter, but also hunted. Again, Deckard is on the trail of an replicant, not knowing that it may be the most elusive and dangerous android of all.
#3 Replicant Night
Rick Deckard is in the Los Angeles of the future--and of the past. Pollution and other atmospheric conditions on Earth have forced the entire movie and video industries to a massive orbital space station full of enormous replications of various Earth-based settings, both contemporary and historical. Strapped for money, Deckard is consulting on a movie adaptation of his hunt for the original replicants that we saw in the "Blade Runner" film. But soon the movie fantasy becomes grimly real, as first a living replicant is killed, and then his former partner in the LAPD blade runner unit. Soon this tangled web will involve the survivors of the Tyrell family, the machine-implanted personality of an old Deckard nemesis, and a group of deep-cover replicants who are unaware that they are not human.
