Overview: Andrea Gallina, aka Andreas Hennen, is a designer who graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. He worked as a graphic designer until fate sentenced him to a different path, leading him to set out into the twisted tunnel of writing. For years he has been following, with growing interest, the panorama of the Fantasy genre, finding a form of clear artistic expression, using its freedom to make a gift of his precious imagination to those who are willing to read and understand. Combining the knowledge arising from years of interest in the historical military sector and the beautiful evocative images granted to his writing, he decided to start creating the Trondheim Sagen.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

1. Earth Shattering
In the blessed torpor, induced by the idleness and riches of a long period of false peace, the Emperor of the United Men awaits a visit from Holaf Erlingson, Lord of the North, as he does every year. A skilful, rough and valiant sovereign, long engaged in defending the border of the glacial lands entrusted to him, he arrives reporting anomalies in the activity of his enemies. The bitter verdict is shared by the Lord of the East, bound by a feeling of brotherhood to his Nordic peer, and by the Lord of the South. The three sovereigns obtain the imperial mandate to initiate a preventive call to arms in order to prevent enemy invasions.

Overwhelming vicissitudes will repeatedly grip the three kings and their small armies during the journey in search of answers, in the slight attempt to block the impetus of war now in motion. Wicked politicians and dark cults, evoking the most sordid and chilling armies seen by human eyes, will oppose the kings. These forces use their time fulfilling the will of a supreme puppeteer of war.

Overwhelming and unexpected loves will blossom giving the protagonists unspeakable joys and additional worries, while the ranks of the warriors will grow, meeting along the way other valiant men not willing to be just spectators as their fate unfolds.

King Holaf will lead his companions, from the first cry of encouragement, through the tension and terror before the impact of the enemy armies, facing with the eyes of a soldier the tusked face of death. Through the cruelty of the many battles will come the silent epilogue surrounded by guts and corpses lying on the grass to serve as a meal for dogs and birds.

2. Green Tide
The Empire of the United Men finds itself still shaken by a whirlwind of events. Despite the efforts of the Lords of the Reigns of the Four Cardinal Points, everything still appears more gloomy than ever before. The verdict of the predictions offered by the Sacred Runes gives an outline, without actually revealing anything. Evil continues to move its pawns, remaining hidden from human eyes and declaring neither its true strength nor its real goal in all its unholy plots. The Kings find themselves admitting that there is a tiny, fleeting hope that they can reach the position they must to oppose the coming war, whose bony fingers are stretching dark shadows of pain where they are able to grasp the greatest numbers of men. The flames of bodies touch the sky while the cities tremble under the blows of the enemy as the greatest battle in the memory of men continues.

3. Blood of the North
Despite the extreme efforts of the warriors to raise defences, the protection has failed allowing the Goddess of Death to galop on her dark steed throughout the lands of the Empire. The Kings of Kings, realising that they have been unwitting pawns in an unending game of chess, find themselves overwhelmed by an unstoppable maelstrom of events. Elegant trickery and underhand moves blindly influence them. Their steps take them to deserted countrysides and endless dangers allowing them the vain hope of still having some sand in the hourglass of their lives. The evil itself leaves its gloomy den where it has been hiding to overcome the unknowing men with the iconoclastic malevolence of its hordes. The pillars of the earth shiver until mountains shatter as does the human arrogance oftheir belief that they are Gods, as such a nature is not given to them.
