Overview: During the summer of 2030 autumn begins early and never ends. Austin has broken his marriage and abandoned his daughter, Grace. Around him, the world’s vegetation rots, destroyed through the gene manipulation experiments of the world’s largest agriculture corporation.
A decade after the beginning of fall, Austin, tortured by guilt from his military past, remains separate from society. A childlike artificially intelligent toy named Ivy is his charge and his redemption. With little supplies and even less hope, they escape a burning home to navigate the barren Hudson River Valley in search of Austin’s lost family.
