Through the Tenebris series by J.C. Maynard (#1-2)
Requirements: .ePUB Reader, 1.2 MB
Overview: When he grew tired dreaming of the fantasy saga he wished he could read, he wrote it instead. Maynard is a young fantasy writer and choral composer from Colorado Springs. Recently publishing "Silverbrook," the sequel to "Four Sunrises," the first novel in the "Through the Tenebris" duology, Maynard both concluded this epic series, and opened doors for more stories to come. Over three years in the making, this new age fantasy series tells the story of evil versus evil like never before, engaging readers in a fresh new take on the genre. In a world of monsters and magic, kings and assasins, one thing is certain: Four Worlds Will Collide.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

1. Four Sunrises
As the kingdoms of Ferramoor and Cerebria wage war, a prince, a thief, a soldier, and a sorcerer realize that their strange mental connection may alter the course of history.
Dark things lurk in the Palace as Prince Eston of Ferramoor begins to uncover a long-hidden mystery - one that his father the King has been trying to hide. Below the Palace, living off the streets of the capital as a thief, Kyan realizes that the infamous gang, the Nightsnakes, wishes to use his skills to fulfill their corrupt scheming. Meanwhile, in the vast and unforgiving forest of Endlebarr, Tayben Shae of the Cerebrian Army battles daily against the Ferramish forces, but senses as if he is being lured into the dark reaches of the forest by a supernatural force.
As Tayben risks his life to preserve Cerebria, Calleneck Bernoil plots to destroy it alongside an underground army of sorcerers and his two sisters. But all four of their lives change when they begin seeing each other's memories, finding themselves on both sides of the same war.
Enter a world where sorcerers and spies infiltrate governments, where cities fall and monsters stir, and where every choice could lead to life or death.
2. Silverbrook
The war has taken its toll, and both Ferramoor and Cerebria have suffered severe losses. The survivors desperately try to keep their footing in the ashes as the road before them grows ever treacherous.
On the streets of rubble, Kyan finds unlikely allies as he hides from the Nightsnakes, who prove to be a greater threat than he ever imagined. Leading thousands of Feramish troops, Prince Eston marches deep into Endlebarr toward the Cerebrians and the Phantoms, where Tayben must soon decide either to remain a Phantom, or once again follow the strange visions of the forest. Beneath Seirnkov, the Evertauri barely hold together as Calleneck fulfills his role in the revolution. But deep in the underground Network, there are signs of dark magic arising - waiting for the right time to strike.
Enemies gather and plot, ever present, and underneath it all lurk dark questions whose answers may lie in the mysteries of the past. Looming in the distance, bleak and riddled with death, sits the final battle. The only moves left in the game of war require risk and sacrifice — the dark new world has now entered the silence before the storm.
