Overview: I've always had a lot of interest in both science and art, and I've done both. I have an academic background in engineering and science, and a degree in space science in part. For years I worked as a scientific copy editor for a nonfiction publishing house; I didn't begin "writing seriously" till a few years after I started working there. As a kid, I loved sketching oddball comic characters in my free time. Nowadays, I love drawing and watercolor-painting spaceships, space scenes, and quick abstract landscapes. I love doing all of that digitally too. I wish I had two more hands!

Diamond--unlike any other planet. Diamond--hard, chaotic, merciless. And I had to go there. Years ago near the end of the 24th century, while working as a Miscellaneous, I was hired to do one dangerous job on Diamond, but I wound up working two dangerous jobs--two dangerous jobs that didn't fit together. Torn between my past and my present then, I helped bring order and justice to a world where order and justice had been going extinct. …Or did I help?

Mysterious maps, thefts, murders, phone-stalkings and planet-hoppings--all in a normal day's work at my office. Just call me Pia When-Things-Can-Go-Wrong-They-Always-Will Senda. Having left my old life behind, I started a new business, yet I still wound up dealing with the same-old craziness.

Pia Senda returns: Just when the pieces of my life and my business were finally falling into place, I had to take a case from the worst possible client: me.
