Overview: Jason Pere is a born-and-raised New Englander. He always had a passion for the arts and creative storytelling. At the age of thirteen, Jason took up the craft of acting for film and theater. He pursued that inter-est for over a decade until refocusing his medium of expression into writing. At first, Jason took a causal interest in writing, starting with poetry and journaling. Over time, he honed his direction and finally began writing larger works. In November of 2012, Jason self-published his first book, Modern Knighthood: Diary of a Warrior Poet. Since then, Jason has continued writing on his own, mostly short stories and poetry. Calling the Reaper was his first experience committing to a full-length Fiction title. In early 2015, Jason became affiliated with Collaborative Writing Challenge (CWC). Since then, he has joined many other writers on numerous collaborative projects. Jason is a regular contributor to CWC and is scheduled to have multiple pieces of his work appear in their publications.

1. World After Death
Seven billion dead. After the incurable Sickness pushed humanity to the brink of extinction, America has found a new way of life, balanced by a new governing force. The people of the world after vow to uphold the elegantly brutal Law of the Challenge. Every man’s dispute is arbitrated with compassion, as the legendary Sebastian Clarke intended. 2. Requiem for Leon
As both hero and victim of the one of the new world’s greatest tragedies, the Templar Sebastian Sir Leon Scott now flees west across the bones of what used to be America. The Patriot’s War nearly broke his spirit, and in a self-inflicted attempt to ease his mind by pushing past the boundaries of his physical endurance, Sir Leon doesn’t quite know when—or if—he’ll ever stop. But as the cold, harsh winter quickly approaches, he finds himself stranded in a small town of Summit nestled within the Rocky Mountain Territories. The people are wary of strangers but surprisingly kind, and the military company of Irregulars stationed there quickly brings Sir Leon into the fold. Here, the Templar may finally find some peace, but it comes with a terrible price. The infamous Haddy Toms and her Flock of hired guns have also sheltered in Summit to wait out the winter, and by trying to leave his tortured past behind, Sir Leon must walk a careful line between a new life and the precipice of yet another war.
