As James begins to regain the missing pieces of his memory, he finds himself right back in the mix of his former spook days, trying to uncover the purpose of his arrival on this new planet as well as the whereabouts of his wife, Anna (a pilot for NASA), all while trying to survive in the midst of an interstellar war.

These were the questions James asked himself as he watched a ship from Earth attempt to destroy a messenger vessel carrying a distress beacon from Sam’s home planet. For James and Sam, this could be the next step in unlocking the mysteries behind the Expansion Project and the Argyra creature. It could also mean having to face down some of the ghosts from their pasts.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, the clock is ticking to get James, Anna, and the other cosmically wayward teams back home before they encounter the dreaded Argyra and its new band of mind-jacked mercenaries.
As each group manages to shed some light on their situation, they quickly find that the threats that are lurking in the shadows may be far worse than they ever anticipated.

James’ lungs are on fire as he races back to his ship. The enemy is opening up three wormholes through space and will soon be starting a war on three different fronts. If the enemy heading through door number one reaches their destination unchallenged, they will become too strong to stop. But if James confronts them, Anna could be taken from him forever by the threat moving through door number two. On the other side of door number three, the planet Earth is nearly defenseless and gravely unprepared for a looming and sinister force.
Knowing he can’t be in three places at once, James must decide who to save—and who to sacrifice.
