1. Exile - Freedom comes at a price…
TSS Agent Joe Anderson has a problem with authority. They say he’s insubordinate... or so it's called when you punch a superior officer during a routine training exercise.
With no other place for him, Joe is shipped off to the outer colonies to run undercover surveillance. The assignment seems tedious until he makes his way onto a newly purchased cargo ship.
Captain Iza Sundari came from nothing, but she’s fought to carve out a life for herself with her eclectic crew on a ship of her own. Captaining a ship is the closest thing to freedom she can find, but she’ll have to pay for it. And freedom comes at a steep price.
When a risky proposition leads to the perfect job, it seems Iza’s financial troubles might be over. But with hidden agendas at every turn, she’ll have to cross a line she swore she never would to protect her ship and crew.
2. Divided Loyalties - No good deed goes unpunished when you’re a crew of criminals.
Agent Joe Anderson finds a home on the Verity among the crew, but staying true to his TSS mission gets harder every day. Caught between his relationship with Captain Iza Sundari and stopping a plot to overthrow the Taran government, his loyalties are tested when he's forced to choose between his heart and his duty.
All Captain Iza Sundari wanted was freedom on her own ship. Instead, she ended up with an eclectic crew of misfits, an alien artifact with unknown origins, and a contractual engagement all competing to ruin her life. When her android friend, Trix, contracts a mysterious virus, she finds herself in a race with time to find a cure, but she can’t do it alone.
Things only get worse when the alien artifact places Iza at the center of a political race for power. She must come to terms with her unresolved feelings for Joe, save her ship, and her friends from destruction, while solving the mystery of the artifact and her past before everything she’s always wanted is lost.
3. On the Run - Sometimes the past is best left buried.
Breaking the rules got Joe Anderson kicked out of the TSS and shipped back to his primitive home planet, Earth. Captain Iza Sundari is left on the Verity, struggling to keep the crew together.
When the environment of an outer colony planet begins mysteriously transforming, Iza and her crew are faced with a puzzle that only they can solve. Unfortunately, the mission soon puts them on the radar of the TSS—but Iza’s learned a thing or two about how to circumvent the law.
To avoid capture and find Joe, Iza will have to come to terms with her family history to save her future. If she fails, not only will Iza lose any hope of reuniting with Joe, but she’ll ignite a galactic war.
