Overview: Celine Jeanjean is French, grew up in the UK and now she travels the world as a nomadic writer. That makes her a tad confused about where she is from. During her travels she's watched the sun rise over Angkor Wat, lost her shoes in Vietnam, and fallen off a bamboo raft in China. Celine writes stories that feature quirky characters and misfits, and her books are a mixture of steampunk, fantasy and humour.

5. The White Hornet

6. The Shadow Palace
They made it into the palace… But will they be able to escape from it? In the shadowy world of the Airnian court, nothing is more important than knowing who to trust. And nothing is harder to determine. Rory and the gang need to make alliances if they’re to succeed in their mission, but their attempts are met with intrigue and betrayal. And all the while, the White Hornet is watching, waiting for an opportunity to make them disappear. Longinus, meanwhile, continues with his quest to discover what happened to his family. His search for answers will take him deep within the palace, and deep within its secrets, until he is faced with a horrific choice. Can Rory and the gang save him from a fate worse than death?
9. The Rising Rooks
While Damsport is facing civil war, Longinus cuts Rory’s hair… The Rising Rooks, the Rookery rebels, are mounting an attack against Garrata that they hope will destabilise her enough to weaken her grip on Damsport. But not only does the mission fail, its failure causes a rift between the Rising Rooks and the rest of Damsport. Rory and Longinus find themselves retreating to the Rookery without support from the rest of the city and without resources. They’ll have to use all their ingenuity and inimitable style to somehow get to Garrata. Whether it’s cutting Rory’s hair, robbing a post office, or creating dastardly poisons, Rory and Longinus fight with everything they’ve got. Will they succeed, or will they fail to free Damsport? If they go down, at least they’ll be going down in style…
