Reagan Bennett is just an ordinary woman, living with her long-term boyfriend, Finn. Isn’t she? So why is she haunted by dreams of another world? And who is leaving strange objects on her kitchen table for her?
And who – or what – is it that’s out to kill her?
Reagan needs to figure out exactly who her enemy is before they slaughter everyone she loves. And to do that, she needs to figure out who she really is.
2. Aeron Returns - Thrown through a portal into a world she thought only existed in her dreams, Reagan Bennett finds herself in The Realm: a place where everyone thinks she is the warrior Aeron. Unfortunately, Aeron was banished as a traitor, and forbidden from ever returning to The Realm. On pain of death.
No one is pleased to see her. Not even her husband, Faran, a man Reagan has dreamed about, but never met.
With no choice but to stay, Reagan has to fight not only the demon Aegyir, but all those in The Realm who are determined to be rid of her forever. Can she survive long enough to protect not only The Realm, but the world she once knew – Earth – from Aegyir’s murderous intentions?
3. War -Thirteen demons were trapped in The Realm. So was Aegyir, their ring-leader.
They wanted to live forever. But the only way they can ‘live’ is for others to die.
The Guardians stopped them.
Now, all of them are free, with only one thing on their minds: kill all the Guardians.
Can Aeron and Faran find a way to destroy the demons forever? Or will The Realm fall, and with it, Earth?
4. Invasion - Five years have passed, and the Guardians and the people of The Realm have reached a new, albeit tetchy, equilibrium. The threat of civil war bubbles constantly, but so far, the Guardians have kept control.
It won’t take much for that to change.
People are going missing from one of the villages, returning days later, emaciated, exhausted, and claiming to have been forced to work on a building in a strange world. Where are they being taken? And who is taking them there?
The foe threatening The Realm is far more sinister than the rogue Guides. They could destroy everything the Guardians rely on. Far from being the protectors of The Realm, the Guardians could be forced to be its destroyers.
Can Aeron and Faran find a way to save The Realm without sacrificing everything they hold dear? Or will The Realm finally fall?
5. Chaos - The Realm is full of hostile invaders who can bend minds. Fighting them only leads to more people dying. Can Aeron and Faran find a way to succeed, before civil war rips The Realm apart?
The portal to their world might have been destroyed, but hundreds of Vuthkrex were stranded in The Realm. Everyone wants to be rid of them, but how do you fight an enemy who can make you turn on your own people?
Thrust into new roles they’re not ready for, Aeron and Faran must negotiate not only with the enemy, but with their own people in order for The Realm to survive. And neither group wants to talk. Can they figure out a way to avert civil war and the downfall of The Realm, before it’s too late?
