1. When Earth Paused
When an alien entity uses plagues to wipe out 99.5% of Earth’s population only 3,000 people survive in twenty isolated locations around the globe. North American survivors and their newly sentient dogs decide to gather in Key West, Florida, where the weather is warm, fish are plentiful and the island is an isolated and secure refuge. They must help each other survive the hardships of lost loved ones, few resources, and limited technology. The alien known as the Mechanic is the mastermind of their decimation and is making changes to Earth and its topography. But now the alien has taken human form and out of curiosity is joining the survivors in Key West. A computer wizard, a CIA pilot, an astrophysicist, a veterinarian, a former NSA analyst and others find themselves suspended in time; unaging but struggling to survive on a planet changing around them.
2. Earth, Resumed
The survivors of the Ripples experience the hardships of setting up a new society in Key West. Lawlessness, murder, arson and suicide thwart their attempts to create a Utopian existence. Finding a way to simply survive won’t be enough when a new survivor arrives, wanting change. He wants to run the whole island according to his rules and his willingness to use violence brings the survivors to a breaking point. They are forced to choose sides as a dangerous struggle between good and evil unfolds. The alien entity responsible for the death of most of Earth’s population must decide whether to intervene to save the survivors, or let the master plan unravel completely. Coming February 2020. A CIA pilot, an astrophysicist, a stranded Roman Catholic pope, a computer analyst and many others are living on Key West, hoping for a new life. They don't age, but they have the help of their newly sentient dog companions during this time of change, hardship and discovery.
3. Earth Struggles
The survivors of the plagues that decimated Earths population are living in one hundred twenty colonies scattered around the planet. Thanks to the generosity of the alien species that started it all, they now have a limited supply of power pods to run electrical plants, factories and other necessities. But whoever controls the pods is the real power in each colony, and newcomers are itching to take control of the pods and the colonists. There is also a powerful and evil entity that has taken over one of the men, directing his actions and putting the survivors at risk. Some of the twenty colonies that have survived are also reverting back to their pre-Rippple ways, with genocide, dictatorship and war against their neighbors. The bright future envisioned by the Key West survivors seems to have dimmed, and the threat of nuclear war is imminent. The aliens that were overseeing the whole experiment are having second thoughts....
4. A New Earth
The survivors of Earth's plagues have fled to a distant planet with the help of an alien, and they are trying to survive on their new world. They're an odd group, and their dogs are even odder. A CIA pilot, a DOD engineer, a Key West computer specialist, the last living Pope, and many others are working together to create a new colony on the planet. But there is danger from the sea, the sky, and even the plants, and they must carefully navigate their way in order to survive. One of the leaders wants to find the new worlds spaceships and begin a trading mission with other planets, another survivor wants to kill one of the leaders and take their place, the last living Pope and the last Apache want to create a new religion, and the owner of the planet isn't sure he wants the colonists there at all. Dixie, the sentient Border collie, will have her work cut out for her amid the turmoil and murder!
