A Rift In The Veil series by Kima Blaze (#1,1.5,3)

Overview: Kima Blaze lives in a small house along the fjords of Norway, together with her partner and their fur-babies. (Dogs. Not cats. Kima is afraid of cats.) She came late to the writing game, discovering it in her early twenties when sickness took hold of her life. 1. Curse of a Name
After returning to her childhood home to care for her Alzheimers sick mother, Elizabeth ‘’Lizzie’’ Key starts having nightmares of women dying through history. All of them with her name. While trying to help her violent mother and at the same time keep her own sanity, Lizzie can't be sure if her dreams and her mother's ramblings are in truth a warning, or if she herself is getting sick. But she can't shake the feeling that many of her family's ghosts are real, and some of them are more bloodthirsty than others.

Witches have two jobs:
One: make sure the Veil stays strong and in place.
Two: deal with ghosts or spirits that get through the Veil.
It's an easy job. The biggest baddies don't get through, and the ghosts that start making trouble aren't even worth worrying about. Any witch with awakened powers can take care of them.
So when girls start going missing, Sara Hearth realizes there's a spirit of some kind involved. She expects an easy fix but soon learns that this spirit is something new, something powerful, and she has no idea how to fight it or save the girls. Sara is lucky, but will it be enough?
3. A Cursed Legacy
The wendigo has a body and is running free. To make it worse, the body belongs to Lizzie's father. Their relationship might be a rocky one, but she wouldn't wish the wendigo's mind on her worst enemy. But how can Lizzie help? Her witch-allies don't know how to deal with a wendigo, and she still lacks control of her shamanic powers. With her father's soul on the line, Lizzie redoubles her efforts to find her grandparents, the source of her powers, and hopefully the helping hand she so desperately needs.
