2. The Seer and the Scribe - A hidden enemy. An uncertain future. Will Rrizzerith succeed in destroying the seer?
Two years have passed since the royal wedding and Dracoterra is at peace. At least on the surface. When Kondra is trapped in a vision, the Circle of Seven is called to help. Kondra escapes and tells of a beautiful future. Then the Circle is warned this future will not come to pass unless they stop Rrizzerith.
But Rrizzerith is still working in the shadows. How do you fight an enemy you cannot find?
Rrizzerith may be hidden, but he is working hard. He recruits Zaddicus, but things don’t go well in the enemy camp. Zaddicus is headstrong and selfish and upsets Rrizzerith’s careful plans.
Rrizzerith regroups and devises a plan that will drive the seer mad and force the king and the dragons to bring down the barrier.
Will the Circle of Seven find Rrizzerith before it is too late, or will he destroy the seer and drive peaceful Dracoterra to war?
4. The Dwarves and the Dragons - Enemies looking for revenge. Dwarves determined to fight. Is Dracoterra headed for war?
Desperate to prevent war with the dwarves, King Barrett calls for the first full council since the ichneumon passed through the shield. Humans, dwarves, and elves come together, but Averanth still refuses to let the dragons come out of hiding. Is war inevitable without dragon strength and wisdom on the side of peace?
The dwarves work through their ancient ceremonies, designed to prevent war, but Trakkit and the Winderforge clan continue to build their secret weapons and refuse to work for peace. Word comes to King Barrett that they are out of time, and the humans and elves move their armies to the south to join their dwarven friends in battle.
With the Cry of Treachery ringing in their bones, the dwarves come ever closer to a battle that may kill them all. Will Zaddicus and Rrizzerith push them over the edge and engulf Dracoterra in deadly conflict? Or can Averanth find a way to honor both her desire for peace and her vow to never again allow dragon magic to be used in war?
