1. The Rise
The flame of liberty has been extinguished.
In the span of forty-two hours and with the stroke of a pen, tyranny was ushered into the United States. Some embraced the conversion while many opposed it in silence, too scared to speak up. The few who did voice opposition were quickly squashed and scattered across the new darkened American landscape.
For patriots, Nathan, Jess, and Denny, they find sanctuary on a homestead in southern Illinois. There they hope to ride out the chaos, but quickly find there is no place that is sacred or untouchable. They will come to know that the tree of liberty, as Thomas Jefferson wrote, must certainly be nourished with the blood of tyrants and patriots if freedom is ever to reign supreme again.
- Expanded Second Edition with an additional 25K words. -
2. Main Core
There are only two choices now, liberty or death.
America is unrecognizable. The darkness of tyranny has cast a long shadow over the landscape, but there is hope and it rests with patriots like Nathan, Jess, Denny and those others unwilling to bend the knee.
Following the violent raid on their homestead in southern Illinois, Nathan, Jess, and Denny trek north to liberate their friends now captive in a UN controlled FEMA camp located on the heavily fortified Goose Island outside of Chicago. They know their journey will be treacherous and fraught with danger, as they will have to evade a brutal dictator and those who have sided with him. With an uncertain outcome and the odds against them, they’ll rescue their friends or die trying.
