Nosizwe, convinced Carter as the Talos is the key to unlocking the Stones of Fire, throws everything she has at him, endangering not only Carter but Ellie as well.
When the plots of a traitor allied with the shifter queen shove the two into an unescapable outcome, only the highest form of self-sacrifice can preserve Ellie’s life. But Carter’s act of heroism may cause their entire world to go up in flames.
