Not even the distractions of town and the annoying presence of her ex-boyfriend, a cop who has it out for her coven, is enough to calm her nerves.
It isn’t until she learns a terrible secret that Rachel finds something even more dangerous than the Leviathan. It will take more than a little magic and courage to defeat that monster and the other ones lurking outside. She must enlist the aid of her ex and that of the Spirits beyond the realm of the living to help, and learn to discern who her true enemies are.
If she fails, it will be more than just her life at risk!
2. Splendor's Heir - A new witch is in town, and she's dressed to impress!
Blair Montgomery comes from a long line of powerful witches, each known for wielding great strength and controlling the strongest covens in the world. When she is called up from her home in New Orleans to Ashwood Falls, New Hampshire to take over as heir to the New England coven, she's ready to meet the challenge.
Before she can take her place as future priestess, Blair must pass a test known as the Three Splendors: spells of Life, Death, and Power to prove that she has what it takes to rule. Spells that only grow more complicated with the arrival of a gorgeous local human forbidden by the laws of her people.
As her tests wear on, Blair learns that there is more than one secret lurking in the small town of Ashwood Falls. What happened the night of Samhain when the Leviathan was summoned? Why won't anyone talk about the previous heir, Rachel, and why is there no grave to mark the spot where she was killed...?
