The Burning Trilogy by Patrick Jean-Paul (#2-3)

Overview: From an early age, Patrick Jean-Paul has been writing on a daily basis. He currently works as a solutions architect in technology at various companies. In this role, he performs analyses, organizes presentations and training, and delivers talks. Though these experiences keep him writing and have made him an expert in presenting ideas, the desire to write fiction has motivated him to spend most of his free time writing as well. Patrick Jean-Paul has spent the last three years writing and publishing his first book trilogy and honing his crafts as an author and literary entrepreneur by taking a variety of courses.

2. The Escape
Injured and clinging to life, Lance awakens as a prisoner. UN soldiers interrogate him in search of answers about his family even he can’t give. His only hope of survival is to escape. Surviving the Burning was just the beginning. As new enemies emerge, Lance must fight his way back to his friends to join in the efforts to keep the Sanctuary at bay. Can the team prevent an oppressive and powerful villain from taking control? Or will their efforts be crushed under the boot of tyranny?
3. The Rescue
The Burning set the world ablaze, thrusting once civilized societies into anarchy. Seeking to arm himself with the solar refraction weapon capable of destroying life and technology, Captain Tyler strives to strengthen his reign. It falls to Lance and his friends to seize control of the deadly apparatus before it can be used again. But the war that’s coming will be paved with blood and sacrifice. The Sanctuary and Colonel Pavlov have joined forces to form a mighty army. Pooling any and all allies, Lance leads the New Dawn into their biggest battle yet. Can they stop Captain Tyler from destroying what’s left of their world? Or will the spark of rebellion be snuffed out by a growing empire hell-bent on destruction?
