Overview: JD Franx is a Canadian author and the creator of the fantasy world called Talohna, an epic scale, high fantasy world known for twisting fantasy tropes in a whole new way. After spending a year creating and building Talohna, JD finally began writing Talohna's first story in 2013. A year later, a first draft of The Legacy was finished along with the series prologue novella titled, Sins of the Past. 2 years later, The Legacy was finally ready to publish and released on Oct. 24, 2016.
The father of two incredible teenagers, JD has been interested in writing since high school, but never had the time for it until recent years. With a strong interest in old world Europe, JD plans to do plenty of travelling with his family over the next few years with the goal of seeing some of the European sights that influenced Talohna. Especially the Scottish and Irish castles that inspired Talohna's Cascade Citadel and the catacombs below Paris that helped bring The Ageless Library of the Arcane to life.
Planning several more books in his Darkness Series should keep readers happy as both The Legacy and the upcoming Blood of the Lost finish at over 200,000 words and 6-700 pages, making for a classic high fantasy read with a fresh look.
