#1 - The Brownstone
Striving young actress, Chandal Knight, and her theater-director husband, Justin, are planning to leave Manhattan to find stardom in Hollywood when two old ladies on their block offer them the opportunity of a lifetime—to take over the entire ground floor of their brownstone, rent-free for the first six months. For a couple who is struggling financially the offer seems like a miracle and the old sisters are so kind and eager for them to move in, Chandal gives in and the couple stays on in New York. Chantal adores their new home, with its high ceilings, fireplaces and large rooms, but it is not long before she begins to hear voices, see moving shadows out of the corner of her eye and sees that the old sisters are very… well, strange. Justin seems to be drifting away into a new passion, photography, which takes him into the darkness of the brownstone basement for hours on end, but its not until Chandal sees his photographs that the dark mosaic of inexplicable events starts taking on a terrifying shape.
#2 - The Bloodstone
Actress Chandal Knight has no memories beyond the fateful night she nearly died in New York City two years ago. No one, including the psychiatrist at Lakewood Sanatorium, has been able to find out what exactly happened in the horrific fire. Chandal has settled in Los Angeles, where she has healed, became romantically involved with her agent, Ron Talon, and started working in the movies. But then one day Chandal suddenly finds herself sitting in a cab in New York City, with no memory of how she got there. She is frightened and bewildered, increasingly so by an inexplicable force that seems to be taking her over. She only finds peace of mind when she returns to her old neighborhood, at the very place where she nearly died. After Chandal finds a necklace of sorts—a red-veined stone hanging from a tarnished chain—and starts wearing it, wonderful things starts to happen: a charming carriage house in her old neighborhood becomes available for her to live in and she lands a major part in a new play. But shortly thereafter the terrifying visions and flashbacks begin—-confused, dark, deeply sexual—-the source of which she cannot determine. Her boyfriend in Los Angeles, Ron Talon, brings Chandal's psychiatrist with him to New York, where Chandal is carrying on about possession, and of her being turned into someone else. While everyone around Chandal believes she has slipped into insanity, she is facing and fighting the insidious evil that has been so patiently waiting her return.
#3 - The Deathstone
The occult nightmares of Chandal Knight are long past and she has spent seven loving years with her supportive husband, Ron Talon. The couple has been living happily in California where they have been raising a daughter, Kristy. After a Hollywood writer's strike, Ron is under enormous stress to keep his Hollywood talent agency going, he's drinking a lot and not acting like himself. Little Kristy has begun acting out as well and Chandal is eager to get her family out of LA on a vacation. The Talons set out to drive across the West but an accident in Utah strands them in a remote mountain village. The townspeople there are friendly but their customs seem a little strange. Ron begins experiencing visions and hallucinations about violence and twisted sex and little Kristy becomes obsessed with creatures no one else can see. Chandal, deeply traumatized herself, realizes too late that an insidious specter of evil is determined to take revenge on her by taking her husband and child.
