To move forward, Skylar will have to take a few steps back...
After defeating a Fallen, Skylar returns to the university and begins studying with her new mentor. Realizing the dangerous nature of her magic, she refuses to train with it, and she spends her free time researching ways to find Cronos and banish him from this world.
But a single phonecall interrupts her entire routine. Desperate to protect her previous friends, Skylar embarks on a dangerous mission outside the wards of the university with an unlikely ally. To succeed, she must learn to trust... but there's a traitor within her circle of friends, waiting for her to lower her guard.
Will she be able to survive the dangers lurking beyond the safety of the university? Will she be able to save her friend? Or will her refusal to accept her magical gift send her into the clutches of the Fallen?

To defeat a Fallen Angel and save the world, Skylar will have to confront her greatest fear... trusting others.
The invisible ward protecting the University of Lost Souls from outside threats has reversed, imprisoning every student on campus. Cronos has taken the university hostage, threatening to murder each life and steal their magic. Only Skylar can save them, but she can't do it alone.
Complicating the situation, Skylar's mother has revealed herself once again. She's working with the Nephil in charge of the university and with the Fallen Angel.
Defeating them and saving the world comes at a great price, though. Can Skylar afford the cost? Or will she revert to old habits and flee from conflict to avoid sacrifice and suffering?
