Sheena Wilder lives in a world where the government controls every action of its citizens. Breeding, puberty, clothes, hygiene, education, everything is dictated by government protocol. Feeling confined by her regimented life, Sheena escapes school and travels to the great lake near her home which she has never seen in person. Along with her friends, this is the first time any of them have been outside. A chance encounter at the lake has Sheena and her friends fleeing the police. In the future, the police are fully militarized, patrolling the roads with tanks, and doling out lethal justice to anyone who gets in their way. Sheena and her friends now have to survive before the heavy fist of their society crushes them.

Sheena Wilder escaped the police and returned to her normal life cut off from her friends. Guilt and shame ravage her soul after her best friend Yua Nagasaki threw away her life to save everyone. But now the police are aware of her connection to Yua. With lethal efficiency, they break into her house, shoot her, but take her alive. In the hospital, she finds the first caring adult in her life, but it’s only a matter of time before the police come to take Sheena to the most dangerous place on earth—juvenile prison. Sheena’s nurse does all she can, enhancing Sheena’s body to prepare her for survival, but will it be enough to survive Erieside Detention for Juveniles?
3. Evade
Sheena Wilder finds herself locked and forgotten inside Erieside Detention for Juveniles, also known as the EDJ. There she finds her best friend Yua Nagasaki alive, and is greeted with a fight to the death between her and Yua. Sheena’s friends have forsaken her, and now she must learn to survive in this new, hostile environment. Everyone in the EDJ is looking to exploit each other, and Sheena’s cellmate Vee Briggs is no exception. Only by escaping the country can Sheena free herself from her dystopian nightmare, but how can she flee the country when she’s locked in a maximum security juvenile prison?
