Gold Coast Ragnarök: Keith Murphy Omnibus by Peter M. Ball (#1-3)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1003 KB
Overview: The Gold Coast Ragnarok Omnibus collects the first three Keith Murphy Urban Fantasy Thrillers, Exile, Frost, and Crusade, which make up the Gold Coast Ragnarök arc.

Killing demons, sorcerers, and necromancers isn’t an easy job. The successes are private, you spend your life on the run from creatures that go bump in the night, and the simplest mistake can unleash a death curse with catastrophic consequences.

Keith Murphy screwed up his last job, and now he’s on the run with a death cult on his tail, his target’s ghost trapped in a magic bullet, and the apocalyptic Ragnarök nipping at his heels. His best chance of survival involves heading home and lying low, but Keith’s hometown isn’t a safe place for a man who double-crossed the demonic crime boss who brought him up and taught him how to kill.

To survive his week lying low, Keith will need to content with hostile friends, occult bounty hunters, obsessive cultists, and the demonic underworld who control the Gold Coast. To survive any longer than that, he’ll need to embrace a talent for magic he's always shied away from and stop a host of ancient evils from reclaiming the whole damn world.

If you ever wanted a little John Constantine blended in with your John Wick, you’re going to love Keith Murphy.

1. Exile
Keith Murphy’s coming home to a city full of demons. What’s following on his heels is much worse. Ever since he left the Gold Coast, Keith Murphy’s been the triggerman for the sorcerer-assassin Danny Roark. Then they screwed up a job and all hell broke loose, unleashing a vengeful cult of necromancers eager to take down the hit man who gunned down their leader and reclaim their master’s soul from the bullet around Keith’s neck. Roark was already running when Keith made it the rendezvous, and the old man left Keith three simple instructions: go home, lie low, and wait for me to call. Easier said than done. The Gold Coast is full of old friends and even older enemies, and nobody is happy to see Keith back on his old turf. He’s got to cut a deal with the local demons and survive an ex-girlfriend who turned to the dark side, all while trying to duck the agents of the Raven Cult using magic to track Keith down and cut off his head. Roark’s always handled the weird stuff, leaving Keith to focus on guns and tactics. Now the old man's gone and Keith’s running solo—and he’s got to figure out how to use what he knows to survive the hell that’s coming.

2. Frost
Keith Murphy’s meant to be off the grid. Too bad nobody will let him do it. He’s been hiding out on the Gold Coast ever since he and his former partner blew a job down South, earning his keep by working for the local demon boss known as Sabbath. There’s a war brewing in the occult underworld of the city, with a local biker gang showing interest in the supernatural and showing signs they have a patron whose far from human. Keith goes to war alongside Sabbath’s demons and quickly discovers that the biker’s patron's connected to the job that sent him into hiding. Worse, there's now a Valkyrie flying over the city, which means the mistakes of the past have triggered the Fimbulwinter that precedes the apocalyptic events Ragnarök and the end of the world. He might not be a fan of working alongside demons, but Keith’s real partner is MIA and the end of the world is coming. Sometimes bad allies are the only people you can turn too, regardless of the cost.

3. Crusade
Keith followed orders. He came back home. He freed his soul and laid claim to a magic sword. But Keith Murphy doesn’t have time to rest, because his sorcerous partner Danny Roark is out of commission and the end of the world is thundering towards humanity like a freight train on steroids. As the elder entities from the depths of the Gloom break through the veil of reality with increasing regularity, Keith is forced to assemble a rag-tag army of demons, seers, and reluctant allies to stop Ragnarök from occurring. But the return of the apocalyptic Raven Cult fills the Gold Coast with sorcerers determined to ensure the apocalypse happens right on schedule, and it will take more than a 9 millimeter pistol, a magic sword, and a motley crew of comrades to foil their plans this time.
