2. Finding Justice
Magic has been used in human sacrifice. It means only one thing to Bonnie Glock: A killer mage is in the Mixed… When an illegal wand deal goes wrong, Bonnie’s opportunity to catch a notorious wizard slips her grasp. In the wake of her failed arrest, a Normal turns up dead. Now she finds herself in a deadly game of hide-and-seek with multiple criminal mages. Solving this wizarding crime becomes increasingly difficult as Bonnie tries to maintain her web of lies in both the magical and non-magical worlds. The San Francisco police don’t know she’s a witch. They aren’t even aware that magic exists. Her Normal partner is the only human who knows her secret. If the wizarding authorities find out a Normal is in the know, he’s as good as dead. Protecting him is further complicated by limitations imposed by her probation in the wizarding world. Mages from the Magic Intelligence Agency can drop by whenever they want. Whispers of a vampire uprising fuel Bonnie’s quest to round up the escaped criminals. After discovering that desire to locate a powerful wand is keeping the killer in the city, Bonnie and her partner test their investigative limits.
