Humankind had expanded beyond the cradle but not far.
To venture further than the neighboring Centauri System required a new propulsion design. The recently developed wormhole drive seemed to be the answer and it quickly became essential for travel and commerce.
But while the new drive could give humanity the stars it could also destroy them. An accident with the drive killed thousands by disrupting the quantum entanglement that underpins spacetime. And its continued use could lead to more disruptions unless a solution is found.
Young Elias Mach, physicist, and inventor of the drive took on the challenge with the help of a supportive few. He would have to find an answer to the drive's dire side-effects before it was too late.

Elias Mach had given humanity the stars with his invention of the wormhole drive. In return, he was accused of treason and sentenced to death.
Thus began a journey to clear his name, which would take him further from Earth than anyone had dared. And there he would discover the menace that was developing the most powerful weapons in the galaxy.
