He drives his priests with fanatic fervour. They gather more prisoners for his demonic experiments and slaughter any demon that gets in their path. Not even young demon children are can escape his righteous wrath.
As her beloved Temple village transforms into an army training camp, Anaya finds herself increasingly torn. Especially since her past encounter with the elusive demon Samael has brought unexpected consequences.
She seeks a course to deliverance, to cleanse her blood-stained soul.
Back among his brethren, Protector Prime Samael, of the fights his own battles. Breaking the rules and acting on instinct has cost him dearly. A primordial bond now sings in his veins, and he fights against its unyielding call.
Torn in between resentment, desire and need, he must pave his own path, in pain, suffering and sorrow.
Past horrors return to haunt the present. Ancient prophecies are brought to life. In the centre of it all, two paths forged,one of darkness, another of light.
Where will the Goddess lead them?
3. The Resurgence of Light - Despite miraculously avoiding an eternity of darkness, Samael teeters on the brink. The High Priest might be gone, but his taint still claws at the demon’s mind.
The Prime is struggling to resist the feral, unable to keep the state contained while the priestess desperately searches for a way to aid him. But the taint is seemingly impossible to cleanse, and Anaya’s efforts only lead to more unanswered questions.
She begins to doubt her prophesied fate.
Anguish engulfs the couple as they face their most merciless challenge yet. Unrest abounds within the Panther tribe, and foreboding rumours surface, threatening to bring the House of Fahd to its knees.
The callous grip of peril is not limited to demons, for, in the wake of a madman’s quest for vengeance, the champions of Light are left adrift. The Priesthood is shattered, the Temple village is left in ruins, and the priests find themselves in a world overrun by demons. Survivors attempt to gather in resistance, but they do not know where to turn.
Until they receive the most unlikely summons.
5. Wake of Sins - Treachery and defamation fuel the raging conflict between Light and Darkness, with trust a luxury neither human nor demon can afford.
The Unn have been captured, but they were just the means to an end. And the Priesthood is no closer to finding the one pulling the strings in the horrifying scheme of the death powder that has claimed countless lives in its wake.
Fearing the rise of a rogue clergy, the Priesthood leaves no stone unturned, regarding friend and foe alike as a potential suspect. Not even the King himself is deemed trustworthy, and an elaborate plot to infiltrate his castle is set in motion.
Anaya and Samael are struggling to piece together what is left of their shattered tribe by hosting the most prestigious games in Panther tradition. The Obsidian Trials are their last hope of unifying their people.
But ruthless adversaries lurk in the shadows, ready to strike when the Panther tribe is at its weakest, and end them once and for all. With their very lives at stake, will Anaya and Samael manage to unify the Panther tribe and save them from extinction?
And will the rogue priests and their employer be found in time, before all of demonkind is doomed?
