Elin longs for the peaceful farm life she once knew, but now that she’s betrayed King Harald, there’s no chance she’ll ever get it back. Worst of all, when her adopted Viking warband crosses the wrong chieftain, Elin must pay for the offense herself.
The unexpected key to her survival could be just what she needs to build a life with the Vikings … or it could be the very instrument of her destruction. And to further complicate matters, she seems to have exchanged the matchmaking Loki for a matchmaking shield maiden.
Never mind, they’re both intent on matchmaking now.
But romance is the last thing on Elin’s mind. In the blood-drenched world of the Vikings, survival comes at a terrible cost—one Elin might not be able to pay.
3. These Ivory Kings - Adrift in the chaos of Viking warfare and Odin’s cross-realm scheming, deprived of her only method of survival, Elin is now truly helpless.

After a close brush with death, and having finally found shelter for the winter, light elf Elin and her adopted Viking warband can relax at last. Now Elin just wants to survive the winter without going insane—from Loki’s frantic scheming, from the confusing flirtation coming from certain Vikings, and from the mysterious behavior of her former enemy, the fierce berserker who has either ruined her life or saved it.
